Back in March, Trey Songz turned himself into authorities and was arrested following a felony domestic violence allegation being made by a woman named Andrea Buera.

According to reports, both the Los Angeles District Attorney and the City City Attorney have both declined to file misdemeanor charges against the singer, with witness statements provided by Songz’s lawyer contradicting Buera’s account.

Earlier this year, Buera detailed the alleged actions of Trey Songz in a press conference alongside her lawyer, during which she shared, “I was attending an afterparty when Trey began yelling at me, choking at me … and ultimately knocked me to the ground. While I was on the ground, he continued punching me and did not stop until his security guard pulled him off me.”

Songz, 33, responded to the claim, writing on Twitter, “For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”

The alleged incident took place during a NBA All-Star weekend party back in February. Trey Songz has not yet issued a statement on the case against him being dropped.
