The annual Coachella Music and Arts Festival is cool and all, but the real party to be at during Weekend 1 was at the Combs Compound just a few minutes away. Called Combsfest, the weekend-long event was presented by PrettyLittleThings and BoohooMan, and curated by Justin Combs in Bermuda Dunes.

We all know Sean “Diddy” Combs for throwing some of the most extravagant parties anywhere you place him on God’s green earth. And this past weekend we learned that the crown doesn’t fall far from the throne as his first-born son organized the three-day interactive experience.

The compound was packed with VIP Gifting Suites for all, leaving everyone feeling like a celebrity guest. As you walked through, you might have found yourself bumping into Lamborghinis, Teslas and Ferraris casually parked on the lawn in between Louis Vuitton-wrapped skateboards (that must’ve been in honor of Virgil Abloh’s new gig). For the entire weekend, guests had the ability to enjoy interactive sponsors, facials, a mini-skate park and private 4/20 lounge.

On Friday, Lil Wayne headlined the Combsfest Concert, with over 5,000 people filling the somehow-leaked private location. As the hangar packed to capacity, the mere flick of Wayne’s lighter sent the crowd into a frenzy. It was a who’s-who type of audience as Weezy F. Baby performed for an hour-and-a-half, combing through hit after hit and repeatedly thanking his fans for their continuous support. His daughter Reginae turned up at the side of the stage.

As the night progressed and The Weeknd’s headlining Coachella performance came to an end, A-list celebrities such as Migos, Cardi B, Chance The Rapper, and Lil Twist flocked to the Combs Compound, led by Puff Daddy and girlfriend Cassie, to witness The Greatest Rapper Alive do his thing.

Saturday, while the world was prepping for #Beychella, The Combs Compound opened its doors for the ChaCha Beach Club pool party followed by YesJulz hosting her 1 a.m. takeover and bringing out today’s hottest artists like Blocboy JB and King Combs to perform. Artists including French Montana, Lil Pump, YG, 21 Savage, Dice Soho, Nav, Vic Mensa, and Yo Gotti could be seen walking among the people, turning up with each other and their fans while socialites and influencers like Amber Rose, Miracle Watts, and Bria Myles could be seen enjoying the vibe.

Combsfest came to a close on Sunday, but not until it went all the way up, starting with a pool party hosted by Rich The Kid with performances by Grammy-nominated singer Gabe Roland. A SremmLife Takeover followed and $1000 was given to the best dancer as Swae Lee performed some classic hits and a few new joints off his soon-to-be released solo album, Swaecation,
