Black Panther fans rejoice! The film has officially become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time, finally surpassing the record held by The Avengers.

As reported, the Ryan Cooler-directed film has earned over $624 million at the domestic box office since making its debut six weeks ago on February 16. The Avengers previously held the record, earning $623 million in 2012.

According to early projections, by the end of this weekend, Black Panther likely will rise to the number five slot on highest-grossing films in general, just behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avatar, Titanic and Jurassic World.

Black Panther has spent the past five weeks at the top of the weekly box office, marking it the first time a film has accomplished such a feat since Avatar.

Chadwick Boseman’s acclaimed portrayal of Black Panther will next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, which is due out in theaters on April 27th.
