Evvie McKinney has won The Four! The Memphis native beat out Zhavia, Candice Boyd and Vincint Cannady to take home the title, and will now be granted a recording contract with Republic Records. (She will also be named iHeartRadio’s next “On The Verge” artist.)
The show kicked off with all four contestants performing and the crowd determining their favorite. Evvie nabbed that round and then chose Zhavia to battle. The judges, comprised of Diddy, DJ Khaled, and Meghan Trainor, then chose Evvie the winner of that small duel. The remaining competitors, Candice and Vincint, then went to war against one another and the panelists named Candice the champ of that bout. This left Evvie and Candice to battle one another, and the judges’ final decision favored Evvie. See Twitter’s reactions below.
