PRhyme share release date for sophomore album, drop new Dave East collaboration

The hip-hop heavyweights are making their return this March.

PRhyme, the super rap duo comprised of DJ Premier and Royce Da 5'9", is gearing up to make a much welcome return this year.

As reported, the pair is joining forces once again, set to follow up their 2014 self-titled debut with a new project, aptly named PRhyme 2. Per the two legends, their sophomore collaborative album will be released on March 16.

DJ Premier talks hip hop history: the start of his career, Biggie, linking up with Jay Z, Guru and more.

To help celebrate the long-awaited reunion, PRhyme has shared the first cut off the project, "Era," which features none other than Harlem's Dave East. The track references The Bizzie Boyz's 1990 classic, "Droppin' It," with East opening the song with their line, "How can you do this when you're spanking brand new to this?"
