Meek Mill‘s new album, Championships, is resulting in several full-circle moments for the Philadelphia rapper, especially when it comes to his reconciliation with Drake.

While their differences were marked by a surprise reunion back in October when the Toronto rapper brought out his former foe onstage, Drake’s appearance on Meek’s album certainly solidified their since-amended bond. Now, to take things a step further, the Philadelphia rapper took advantage of the opportunity to redeem himself by freestyling over Drake’s “Back to Back.”

As fans can recall, the monumental diss track cemented Drizzy as the winner of their battle, even going on to garner him a GRAMMY nomination. However, as exemplified during a recent appearance on Funk Flex’s show on Hot 97, Meek still has plenty of fight in him. He’s even revealed that in the past, the song has helped him get fired up and he’s found a way to turn it into motivation.

Interestingly enough, prior to trying his hand over the instrumental for “Back to Back,” Meek even had Funk Flex apologize to Drake live on air for being a harsh critic and helping stir the pot while their 2016 beef was escalating. Yup, this is Meek’s game now.

Meek’s freestyle won over fans on social media with one twitter user exclaiming how “that beat belongs to Meek now.”

During a recent interview with TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson, the rapper recounted an awkward dinner date with himself, then-girlfriend Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé and JAY-Z. He reflected on how during the gathering, Hov was in charge of the playlist duties and innocently hit play on “Back to Back” in front of him. While Meek appeared to find the whole thing absolutely hilarious, we’re sure it doesn’t hurt that he’s since redeemed himself and then some.
