Snoop Dogg to have a hand in making of own biopic

The rapper divulges that the film will involve Ryan Coogler and Lee Daniels.

Fresh off his hilarious, on-brand visit to the White House and likely full of inspiration, Snoop Dogg has confirmed that he'll be helping to take his legendary life story to the big screen.

According to the West Coast vet, he'll be playing a direct role in the making of a new biopic to be centered around his life, music career and legacy.

"I'm thinking more along the lines of when you watch great shows like _Narcos_on Netflix," Snoop revealed during an on-air appearance at Majic 102.3. "You know, how like Narcos went from Escobar to the Cali cartel, now it's about to go to Mexico. I'm thinking like a Snoop Dogg biopic... late 60's with my mother and father. Pops in Vietnam... the hippie era growing up."

He then shares some additional information about the new project, but not before teasing listeners by safeguarding the intel.

"I already got with somebody," he continued. "I don't even want to expose the names like that but I got some big wigs connected to it, some wigs. It's like some wiggathons. If I said these names, I mean these are some real wiggathons. So you want me to tell you their names? In conjunction with Lee Daniels and Ryan Coogler."

For those unfamiliar, Coogler recently helmed the worldwide Marvel phenomenon, Black Panther, while Daniels is known for his work on films such as Precious and the hit TV show Empire.

While Atlanta actor Lakeith Stanfield played the role of a young Snoop Dogg in the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, it has not yet been announced who will portray the iconic Doggfather.

Check out Snoop Dogg chopping it up with radio host Vic Jagger about the upcoming biopic in the clips below.
