Eminem is looking to treat his hometown fans this weekend.

To celebrate his new film, Bodied, being released nationwide in theaters today (Nov. 2), the veteran rapper has rented out an AMC venue in Sterling Heights, a suburb of his hometown Detroit, so his local fans can check out the flick free of charge.

Taking to Instagram, the Kamikaze rapper announced that tickets for two showings, one on Friday and one on Saturday, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those unfamiliar, Eminem served as a producer on the film, which previously received praise at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Bodied is a satirical comedy following the story of Adam Merkin, an undergraduate college student (played by Calum Worthy) who becomes obsessed with battle rap after writing about the subject for an assignment in school.

The film also tackles the topic of race with the lead character being accused of "appropriating black culture for his livelihood," giving the film both an additional layer to discuss and perhaps weaving in a semi-autobiographical perspective from Eminem's own personal experiences establishing himself as a white rapper in Black culture.

The movie's director, Joseph Kahn, who has previously worked on several of the rapper's music videos, including the Grammy Award-winning visual for "Without Me," stopped by The Breakfast Club this week alongside actors Jackie Long and Calum Worthy to talk about the film. Charlamagne Tha God also takes on the role of a battle rap promoter in the film, playing a character named Hunnid Gramz. Check out their conversation here.
