Saturday Night Live continues its reign as one of the premier late night programs for artists to show off their talents.

This past Saturday (Nov. 17), Ella Mai made her debut as a guest on the reputed show, with none other than guest host Steve Carell introducing her.

For her first time performing on SNL, Ella Mai ran through her breakthrough hit "Boo'd Up" and the complimentary "Trip," both of which appear on her self-titled debut album.

The British singer was joined by a band and backup singers for the chart-topping smash, with the 24-year-old bursting out in a smile as she performed for the live audience. For her rendition of "Trip," she recreated the song's music video, performing the song in front of a bench with a chain-link fence behind her.

Ella Mai, who has had an absolutely monumental year this year, is slated to hit the road at the top of 2019. The Northern American leg of her aptly-named 'Debut Tour' will kick off in February and run through March.

Keeping the momentum going strong, Saturday Night Live confirmed that Anderson .Paak has been tapped as the musical guest for an episode next month.

The California native, who is fresh off dropping his Oxnard album, will make his own SNL debut on Dec. 1. Actress Claire Foy will be handling the hosting duties.

Saturday Night Live has had a plethora of memorable performances over the years, and much like the music industry at large, is looking to end 2018 on a strong footing. With Ella Mai's performance this past weekend and Anderson .Paak scheduled for next month, the satirical show is certainly keeping its programing standards up to par.
