G-Eazy on ‘The Breakfast Club’: “I saw that happen and it was like I’m not cool with this. I’m out.”

The hit-maker sits with Angela Yee, Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy for the first time.

While G-Eazy’s single “No Limit” has club-goers and playlisters twerking, his decision to sever ties with H&M after their recent monkey businesshas the hip-hop community applauding. Although some critics have questioned whether the rapper’s intentions were genuine or more of a publicity stunt, he contended during his first visit to The Breakfast Club that his choice was guided by the right reasons.

“Abso-fucking-lutely,” he replied when asked if walking away from his collaborative capsule collection with the leading retail brand.

“I was excited about H&M,” he admitted. “That was a big opportunity to put clothes all around the world and do something I actually liked and was cool with and then I saw that happen and it was like I’m not cool with this. I’m out.”

“I definitely had plans,” joked the rapper. “I was buying moms a house off that check, but I’ve always been a big believer in, like, if you believe in yourself then this isn’t the last time it’ll come around. My value doesn't go anywhere. My value to whatever they saw in me to want to put that money up - I still got what they saw.”

Elsewhere in the interview, G-Eazy talks about A$AP Rocky bringing the Bay Area artist out for his first New York show and calls Cardi “incredible.”

“I invested in a whiskey company,” said Eazy, touching on his latest business venture. “It’s called Stillhouse. I’m trying to grow up and be like Puff.”
