Cardi B shares new song snippet, details "chokehold" altercation with NY police

"I don't hang with these bitches 'cause these bitches be corny / And I got enough broads, ya ain't gotta support me."

Cardi B has made headlines for more than one reason as of late.

Last week, the rapper shared now-deleted tweets accusing a New York police officer of placing her in a chokehold, a claim her boyfriend Offset confirmed but that the NYPD said they had "no record" of. She then made history by going No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single "Bodak Yellow," and shortly thereafter teasing its follow-up.

Now, Cardi has further detailed her interaction with the cop. In an interview with Miami's 99 Jamz, the rapper explained that she and her cousin got into an altercation with a man while driving. The man reportedly hit her car windows. According to Cardi, the man and her cousin then exited their cars and began to fight; she then threw her shoe at the man. She told host Felisha Monet:

"Out of nowhere a motherfucka put me in a chokehold like a chicken wing. There's two men that are about to square up, but you're so pussy you won't even hold back the men, you're gonna put the female in a chokehold. You guys be lying, and this is why I don't talk to you guys. It really hurt me that motherfuckers really releasing evidence. You don't even know where it happened.... NYPD is the biggest gang in New York. And that really bothers me."

Cardi doesn't seem to be letting the incident slow her down, however.

Yesterday (September 27), she took to Instagram Live to share footage of her rapping along to a previously-unheard recorded track. On the first verse of the slow-moving, dramatic track, she talks her stripper past, new luxurious life, and fake friends, spitting:

"Used to dance at a club right across from my school / I said 'dance,' not 'fuck,' don't get it confused / Had to set the record straight, 'cause bitches love to assume / Mama couldn't give it to me, had to get it at Sue's / Lord only knows how I plotted at Sue's / I was covered in dollars, now I'm drippin' in jewels / A bitch play with my money, might as well spit in my food / Bitches hated my guts, now they say we was cool / Went from making tuna sandwiches to making the news / Started speaking my mind, I tripled my views / Real bitch, only thing fake is the boobs."

On the second verse, she discusses her path to success and the pressures that stem from it:

"Ain't no 100 up on me, went from nothing to glory / I ain't telling ya to do it, I'm just telling my story / I don't hang with these bitches 'cause these bitches be corny / And I got enough broads, ya ain't gotta support me / I went from rag to riches, went from way too lit, nigga / Only person in my fam to see six figures / The pressure on your shoulders feel like boulders."

Could this be the freestyle she promised, or her second single?
