As reported earlier, 50 Cent’s was today’s guest on The Breakfast Club. During the highly-entertaining interview, the hip-hop mogul talked about his hit show, Power.

“It’s already the number two highest rated show on all of premium cable,“ said 50 Cent about the hit show he executive produces and stars in.

As the top contender to dethrone premium cable’s current top-rated series Game of Thrones, Power, fresh off of wrapping up its fourth season, has played a major role in the Starz network’s recent success. “The network is growing at a pace they are absolutely happy with,” said 50 Cent, who admits that he has the right to exercise his creative control over the series. “They’re totally allowing me to do what I want to do.”

50 Cent’s working relationship with the network that he has several projects in the works with hasn’t always been so easy going, however. The multi-platinum artist has publicly blasted the channel multiple times, and has also threatened to leave the show. His most recent attack came via an Instagram post, as season four of Power was coming to an end.

While on The Breakfast Club, the G-Unit general spoke on the lack of support Power has received from Starz at times, as well as the lack of recognition it garners from the industry. “You can see the priorities,” said 50, as he explained how his hit show has yet to reap the benefits of the heavy promotional push most other high-rated shows receive. He later added, “you haven’t seen that, but you’ve seen a huge success in numbers.”

Last year, after Power had been overlooked during award season, 50, in another public rant directed at Starz, expressed his frustrations with the achievements of the series going unacknowledged. When Charlamagne the God asked if that had anything to do with the rapper, actor and entertainment executive not making appearances at the award shows, 50 responded, “I’m not going to make an appearance as ‘rapper 50 Cent’ when I’m executive producing the show that’s the second largest in cable entertainment.”
