LAPD refutes report that Yo Gotti is "person of interest" in Young Dolph shooting

LAPD confirms to REVOLT that there are "no persons of interest at this time."

As reported, Young Dolph had to undergo surgery following a shooting outside of the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood on Tuesday (September 26).

Since the incident, several reports have surfaced, including one from TMZ that alleges Yo Gotti as a "person of interest" in the shooting. However, those claims have since been denied by the LAPD. As LAPD Public Information Officer Sal Ramirez confirmed to REVOLT, Gotti is currently not a person of interest in the shooting nor is any other "persons" at this time.

Meanwhile, Dolph, born Adolph Thornton, Jr., is reportedly in critical but stable condition following Tuesday's incident. Moments after the shooting, REVOLT was on the scene and spoke to LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar to describe what had transpired. "He was in a verbal altercation with a group of three men," said Detective Aguilar. "At that point, it turned into a physical altercation and he was knocked to the ground. When he was on the ground, one of the men in that group of three pulled out a handgun and began shooting at him."

This marks the third shooting involving the rapper. Back in February, Dolph's SUV was riddled with over 100 bullets in Charlotte, North Carolina. Then in July, shots were fired during the rapper's show in Houston.
