Nas pays homage to 'Belly' and "Streets Dreams" co-star Frank Vincent

"This man took the time to...coach me."

Yesterday (September 13), Nas paid homage to Frank Vincent after the acting great died from open heart surgery complications. Conflicting reports say he was 78 or 80 years old.

The rapper took to Instagram to post a picture of the two from his classic 1997 Street Dreams video. He wrote:

"Frank Vincent, from CLASSIC'S like Raging Bull. Goodfellas, Casino.. the list goes on.. this man took the time to not only coach me in BELLY, But also bless my Street Dreams music video with his presence in Las Vegas directed by Hype Williams like the same day Tupac passed. It's so deep he passed years later the same day as Pac. He was humble and wise and told me 'just act natural.' Thank you Frank!"

As you may remember, in the clip, Vincent stands in the desert dressed in a neon green jacket before Nas pulls up wearing his own neon pink suit. The two talk about Nas being surveilled and how he's "hot as a pistol," so the Queens King fakes his own death in the aftermath.

Vincent had a career spanning 41 years, acting alongside Nas in Belly, on HBO's The Sopranos, and in multiple Spike Lee Joints. He even voiced the character Salvatore Leone in the video games 'Grand Theft Auto III,' 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,' and 'Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.'
