Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, and JAY-Z carry on sales streak on Billboard 200

Numbers don't lie.

Outside of one entry, the top five albums on this week's Billboard 200 chart is mostly comprised of hip-hop's albums.

Debuting at numero uno on the sales chart this week is Arcade Fire with their comeback album Everything Now. The album, which follows up 2013's Reflektor, is now the band's third straight No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 100,000 units, as reported by Billboard. Of that total, 94,000 were in traditional sales. Not far behind Arcade Fire is a previous chart-topper, Kendrick Lamar, who lands back at No. 2 with his much-talked about fourth studio album DAMN. The album, which gave Lamar his first ever No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart with "HUMBLE.," climbed from No. 5 to the second slot this week, thanks to sales of 47,000 units. The sales bump comes as the rapper is on the road for his DAMN. tour.

And it doesn't stop there.

Clinging to a No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 is Meek Mill's Wins & Losses. The album, which arrived on July 21st, holds steady in its second week with an additional 37,000 units. Since its release, Meek's junior album has not only debuted to general acclaim, but it has also locked in a whopping seven entries on the Billboard Hot 100. "Whatever You Need," the album's lead single featuring Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign, is the highest entry (No. 51), while other favorites like "Issues" (No. 77), "1942 Flows" (No. 83) and "We Ball" (No. 96) are among the many to fill up the rest of the chart.

Jigga's record climbed from No. 7 to No. 5 this week with an additional 33,000 copies sold. Not far behind is 21 Savage's Issa Album, which rises from No. 12 to No. 6 with 31,000 units.

Elsewhere in the top 10 of the chart are Imagine Dragons' Evolve (No. 7), Ed Sheeran's ÷ (No. 8), the soundtrack for Descendants 2 (No. 9) and Lana Del Rey's Lust For Life (No. 10).
