Timbaland and Swizz Beatz tease new Meek Mill, Lil Wayne collabos ahead of beat battle

Heating up ahead of time.

Last month, Timbaland accepted his fellow super-producer Swizz Beatz's challenge to a beat battle. And though there's still no word on when or where it will officially go down, the two men have been taking to Instagram to document how they've been honing their skills in the meantime.

Yesterday, Timbo shared a video of himself surrounded by a computer, drum pad, speaker, and keyboard, and playing a never-before-heard beat boasting vocals from Meek Mill who can be heard spitting: "Cuban links and kilos / ... / pull up on something, take this bitch like I was Deebo."

Tim' captioned the clip with a note to Swizz, writing, "So we're working album now right??? What you think fans? I'm still working on my craft cause I'm never satisfied. This #beat #can @change. @meekmill let's finish up.."

Swizz followed up with a video of his own, showing himself driving in a car while listening to an also previously-unheard track, this one with a verse from Lil Wayne who can be heard rapping: "Swizzy on the beat, I'll beat your ass like Khaleesi, ah / Tunechi in this bitch, eyes looking like konnichiwa / Pistol on my side, you don't want that thing to scream at ya / Laughing when you die, boy, my pistol a comedian."

Swizz wrote: "That's how you feel @timbaland. ok I'm reloaded we can battle on stage with the hits and new beats plus battle with the Albums and drop them on the same day I'm with all the smoke BRONX NYC!!!!!!!! I'm in a good mood !!!!!!!!! Let's Gooooooooooooooooioooooo! Shout out Wayne killing it! #mclaren720 New wayne off my Album."

Based on their friendly banter, it seems that we can not only expect a beat battle soon, but LPs from both producers.

Earlier this year, Swizz started the trend by going head-to-head with Just Blaze; Pete Rock and DJ Premier followed suit; and, since then, news has surfaced that Tim' is willing to go to war with Pharrell, too.
