One of the founding members of the legendary rap collective Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five was charged with murder on Wednesday (August 2) after the fatal stabbing of a homeless man in New York City.
According to reports, Glover, 57, got into an altercation with a 55-year-old man, identified as John Jolly, on East 44th Street and Third Avenue, where the former rapper worked as a repairman. During this fight, it is being said that Glover used a small knife to stab Jolly, who was later found on the sidewalk. Jolly was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Glover was taken into custody in the Bronx and charged with second-degree murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
