Since then, several celebrities have stepped up to offer aid and assistance to the affected residents.
Drake announced he was "working with local relief groups to aid and assist the people of Texas in anyway we can and in the most immediate way possible."
Beyoncé partnered with her philanthropic platform BeyGood and her pastor "to implement a plan to help as many as we can."
Kevin Hart donated $25,000 to the Red Cross and subsequently started a charitable challenge asking his celebrity friends to do the same, including The Rock, Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, JAY-Z and Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Jerry Seinfeld. He candidly admitted, "I think the people are in bad shape and they need help."
He then launched a donation website and continued his challenge, this time calling out T.I., Nelly, Usher, Ludacris, Chris Brown and "anybody right now that is in a powerful position where we can impact this issue" to contribute to relief efforts.
Chris Brown accepted Hart's challenge, going above and beyond with a donation of $100,000. Rallying more support, he said, "I implore and encourage everybody else who can change and make a change for this, to please donate and help out."

A-Rod added, "It's our opportunity to come together as one to help out all the great families in distress."
