If you feel like you've been inundated with Drake over the last few years, or are looking for a reason as to how you became a full-blown fan of the rapper-singer-actor against your will, look no further than today's inconceivable news.
For the first time in eight years, Drake is nowhere to be found on the Hot 100 singles chart, according to Chart Data.
Drake is not present on the Hot 100 for the first time since his debut (5/23/09), ending a 430 week streak of continuous charting.— chart data (@chartdata) August 15, 2017
The absence breaks an incomparable 430-week streak.
Drizzy first appeared on the list back in May 2009 with his debut single "Best I Ever Had," which went on to peak at No.2. And on this week's list, both his "Passionfruit" and "Signs" tracks appear—at No. 81 and No. 100, respectively.
But both songs have fallen off the list for the week ending August 26.
Still, according to Billboard, Drake is the only artist to remain on the chart for eight years, uninterrupted.
