Aaron Knight makes infidelity the new normal with "Side Nixxa"

A cheating anthem from the other side: the male side piece.

Many songs we enjoy today are over-sexualized or bitter reflections of love lost. Beyoncé, SZA, and H.E.R have used their music to address different sides of infidelity. But while these women's songs deal with the pain that comes from unfaithful relationships, Aaron Knight's "Side Nixxa" doesn't evoke sorrow or empathy. The singer takes on his role as a side piece with guilt-free hedonism, challenging constructs and embracing cheating as the new normal.

"Side Nixxa" is Knight's latest single, fresh off the success from "OG," the single from his 2016 EP When It Gets Knight Out. He says that society and life experience help him craft his songs from an omniscient perspective. He also spoke to REVOLT TV about staying sober in the studio, and getting kicked off of a tour for...being "too fire?" Watch the interview above, and listen to "Side Nixxa" below.
