21 Savage announced a date, but what does it mean?

Issa album?

Atlanta's 21 Savage took to Twitter today to drop a date - but what does that date actually mean?

Early on Wednesday (May 10) morning, 21 ominously tweeted the date of June 1, 2017 - followed by a bunch of knife emjois.

Is it the date for his full-length solo debut with Epic Records? He's spent the last couple years buzzing with EPs, most recently 2016's Savage Mode EP produced by Metro Boomin which earned two platinum plaques. He also just wrapped up his Issa Tour with Young M.A. and Tee Grizzley. He tweeted in February that his album was coming soon, so maybe the June 1 date is exactly that.

Or, maybe he's simply pulling a Kendrick Lamar and giving that date for something else to look out for - whether it's a pre-order date, or the release for a new single or music video. Only time will tell, but his fans will be paying attention either way.
