"It is a labor of love and and it properly represents all facets of Tupac," Benny Boom told REVOLT earlier this year about his directorial approach in the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic "All Eyez On Me." The highly anticipated film, which hits theaters on June 16 (Shakur's birthday), has a new trailer that expresses Boom's sentiments and more.
Starring Demetrius Shipp, Jr., who plays the role of Tupac Shakur, the latest trailer for the film is promising and powerful. At two and a half minutes, we see the man behind the voice and flashing lights all while narratives such as his friendship with The Notorious B.I.G. (played by Jamal Woolard), relationship with stepfather Mutulu Shakur, the infamous 1993 concert in Arkansas, the Quad Studios shooting, and more.
"We wanted to show the man, not just the musician. We wanted to show all parts of him. So that's what the film is. That's what the film represents," Boom added about the upcoming film. With this latest trailer, all previous doubt could now been thrown out the window. The latest "All Eyez On Me" trailer arrives just one day before Shakur gets inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Snoop Dogg has been tapped to induct him into the coveted hall.
