For all the pushbacks and updates that Kanye West’s last album The Life of Pablo suffered, it seems that it being “a living breathing changing creative expression” has paid off.

According to Pitchfork, Pablo has become the first streaming-only album in history to go platinum.

Having been streamed over 3 billion times worldwide since its February 2016 release, it has just hit 1.5 billion streams in the U.S.

TLOP was almost the first streaming-only album to hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart, but that title went to Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book instead due to .07 percent of TLOP‘s units being album sales after West briefly sold the project on his site.
