Max B may be behind bars but the waves will continue.

Back in September, the rapper born Charly Wingate received a reduced sentence from his original 75-year prison ruling after most of his charges were dropped. It was later announced that he would be coming home in two to six years instead. But as the wait continues, Max hopped on the phone with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex last night (April 24) to discuss his prison stint. When asked if he would be coming home soon, he answered, “Yea man. God is good brotha. I’m working on it. Miss y’all out there.”

While he didn’t provide additional details on when he would be released, Max was later joined by his pal French Montana on the phone call. During the chat, the BX native revealed that an upcoming collaboration was on the way featuring Max B, himself, The Weeknd, and Harry Fraud.

“Hold on Flex. I’m ’bout to tell you now. Max B, French Montana, The Weeknd produced by Harry Fraud. Dropping last week of May,” he declared.

Last year, Max B made an appearance on French Montana’s album MC4 for the song “Chinx & Max/Paid For” and on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo.

As of now, there is no definitive word on Max B’s release date, but for most fans the hope is to have it happen sooner than later.
