Drake cancels Amsterdam show after crowd had already entered

Fans had already been waiting for over an hour when a promoter made the announcement.

Despite riding the biggest wave since the release of More Life (see: cementing his status as King of Streaming and nabbing the tied-titled for having the second most No.1 albums on the Billboard chart, his high hit a snag yesterday.

The singer-rapper cancelled a tour stop in Amsterdam last night, despite the doors having already opened, the arena filling, and the crowd reportedly waiting over an hour for him to appear.

According to the promoter who came on stage to announce the cancellation, Drake had fallen ill. As water bottles were thrown at the stage, she said:

"I'm really sorry to tell you that tonight's show cannot take place. Drake got sick. His doctor told him not to perform. Tickets will stay valid for the show on Wednesday and he wishes to bring his fans the best show in the world. We hope to see you all Wednesday....Please leave, take another drink, leave the building and hope to see you on Wednesday."

This is the third time this show has been postponed. He originally had scheduled stops for January 20 and January 21. Those were then pushed back to January 26 and January 27. And then again to March 27 (last night) and March 28 (today). Yesterday's show has been rescheduled for tomorrow, March 29.
