Rozay airs out his grievances on buzzing track.

Rick Ross holds no bars on his ninth studio studio album, which is due tomorrow (March 17).

Like his signature Bawse moniker, the MMG captain is making a rumble on the web all thanks to an early leak of the album. Due to international releases, Rather You Than Me sprung an early leak. Still, despite the premature release, the album finds Rozay on level ten on all levels. Calling out names ("I told Meek I wouldn't trust Nicki"), showing signs of vulnerability ("Pucci broke my heart, shit I call it life"), spewing some of his wittiest lines to date ("Room full of cloaks and they're counting votes"), and rhyming over the best production ("Santorini Greece," "Game Ain't Based On Sympathy"), Rozay wasn't lying when he previously told REVOLT that his plans for Rather You Than Me was to eclipse his past works.

But aside from his "I told Meek I wouldn't trust Nicki" line on "Apple of My Eye," one track that is generating chatter online is "Idols Become Rivals."

Over a brilliantly looped sample of Camilo Sesto's "Agua De Dos Rios," a classic that was famously interpolated on Jay Z and Beanie Sigel's "Where Have You Been," Rozay laments on his since stained relationship with Birdman. "Sacrificing half our life for your new music cult," he raps. "You would give us self esteem and motivate our drive / But was in our pockets by the time we count to five."

To quickly recap their history, Birdman and Rick Ross released several material in the past, including a joint album in 2013, called The H: The Lost Album, Vol. 1. However, things soon changed after Birdman and Cash Money's legal issues with Lil Wayne came to light. In a 2015 interview on The Breakfast Club, Rozay said the following, "Right now, really me just seeing what Wayne going through as an artist, me idolizing Birdman at a time, me looking up to Lil Wayne, Wayne being the first artist making to make so many feats not just as an artist but an artist coming through the South, that's something I took personal. For me to see the way things are transpiring, I can't respect that, and I don't respect that."

It's a Family Affair: Lil Wayne vs. Birdman

Fast forward to today, we have an open letter that finds Ross airing out his grievances with Birdman and lets a couple cats out the bag on the origin of their issue. The same sentiments is also featured on the album cut "Scientology." Check out the standout lines from "Idols Become Rivals" below.
