It may happen one day too late to be a dubbed a St. Valentines Day Massacre, but REVOLT TV will let you see a verbal bloodbath nonetheless. The channel proudly announces that on February 15 at 10 PM, it will air the Sway’s Universe Doomsday Cypher for the second year in a row.

Hosted and curated by legendary journalist and media personality Sway, the cypher isn’t a battle, but a celebration of hip-hop where rhyme-slingers bring only their most vicious bars. It gets so intense that Sway has dubbed the MCs “hyenas” because of the way you can hear the hunger in their voices.

“This ain’t about how many records you sold or how many views you have or who co-signed your career,” Sway said about the show.

All the crew from the Sway in the Morning radio program—co-hosts Heather B and Tracey G, along with DJ Wonder—were on hand for the cypher, as were Pete Rock and Big KRIT who provided the beats for the rappers to spit.

And the lyricists included Chance the Rapper’s younger brother Taylor Bennett, Mickey Factz, R-Mean, Ren Thomas, and former Bad Boy recording artist Babs Bunny. Don Flamingo, Don Mykel, Lyric Jones, Token, and Axel Leon also spit venom verses as participants in the verbal donnybrook.

Hip-hop tag team champions The Lox also brought their royal rumble raps, performing cuts from their recently released album Filthy America… It’s Beautiful.

Doomsday Cypher will air on REVOLT TV on February 15 at 10pm ET.
