During an interview with Zane Lowe last month, Big Sean announced a much-anticipated collaboration with Eminem for his latest album, I Decided. In describing the Sean Don-Marshall Mathers one-two, otherwise titled "No Favors," the Detroit native praise Em's verse, calling it a reminder "of why I fell in love with [his] work."
In true to life form, hours after the album hit streaming platforms and online retailers, Em proved Sean's words justice — and then some. In quintessential Shady form, the same guy who once told us "I stand out like a green hat with an orange bill," tackles the eerie production with a verse that sounds like the complete composite of the chainsaw-wielding masked mad man. In addition to wrapping up a heap load of similes, metaphors, homophones, antonyms, and more at a mind-bending pace, Em also fills his nearly two-minute verse with a string of name-checks, including el presidente Donald Trump. He raps, "I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando/Your man don't want it, Trump's a b*tch, I'll make his whole brand go under (yeah)."
Trump wasn't the only political figure who caught some burn, as political commentator Ann Coulter also got some words. "And fu*k Ann Coulter with a Klan Poster, with a lamp post, door handle," he snaps.
The aim-and-fire isn't the first time Em has thrown shows at Trump, since it comes months after the rapper surprised fans with his politically-charged "Campaign Speech."
Em isn't the only one who tackles the nation's political leader. In a separate verse outside of the album, Big Sean himself delivered his most politically-charged verse to date in which he rhymes about taking down the President. To promote the album, Sean stopped by Funkmaster Flex's Hot 97 show and dropped a freestyle over Freeway's "What We Do" instrumental. Featuring a flurry of standout lines, the one that turned heads was when the rapper says, "I canceled my Uber, it's time to Lyft the burden... I know 'Ye proud of me, he took me out of debt/I know Jay proud of me, he put this 'round my neck/And I might just kill ISIS with the same icepick/That I murder Donald Trump in the same night with."
