After over a month of build-up, the scheduled boxing match between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy has been cancelled.
Soulja took to Twitter yesterday (February 20) to say that Breezy refused to sign a contract for the fight.
He continued today (February 21), making threats to the singer, claiming he'd still "beat" CB's "ass," despite it no longer being inside a ring.
Brown responded on Instagram with a video in which he first promoted his upcoming tour and then possibly denied the claims of domestic abuse from his ex that surfaced earlier today—"Make sure ya'll don't be listening to all this bullshit, man. Whatever them people on the other side doing, let them do what they doing. I don't know what the f—k they talking about"—before finally addressing the Soulja Boy match and declaring he won't be backing down outside the ring either.
"I bowed out of this Soulja Boy fight. I'ma tell you why, because it was a legit thing on a positive scale [and] all the wrong people got in the way, the middle man people got in the way, the 'homies,' so to speak, got in the way because they want to get a piece of the pie. It's immature, first and foremost. Second of all, ain't no ni—a gon' ever hold me up so, however everything goes, this how we rocking. He gon' see me, he gon' see me. I ain't out here moving nothing crazy, but just don't believe all that bullshit, bro. I'm out."
Soulja Boy's promoter Wack 100 weighed in with REVOLT, as well, confirming that it was Brown who called it off.
