Prince's music hits streaming platforms, remastered 'Purple Rain' set for June

Finally!

Before his passing last year, Prince famously pulled his catalog from most streaming services, with the exception of Tidal, to protect his work. Today, all 27 of the Purple One’s albums and compilations are now available on platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Pandora.

Everything from Dirty Mind to 1999, and Purple Rain have been unearthed for streaming services. In addition to the long-awaited reissue, Warner Bros. have announced that Prince’s 1984 classic Purple Rain is arriving in June with unreleased music and concert films from the Paisley Park vault.

As Rolling Stone reports, the deluxe edition will be Prince’s first posthumous release since Prince 4Ever and will arrive on June 9. The remastered Purple Rain was created with plans that were "agreed upon with Prince before he passed away," and will be complemented with two albums of "previously unreleased Prince music and two complete concert films."

On Sunday, Bruno Mars performed with The Time at last night's Grammy awards to honor the Purple legend with a stunning tribute.
