Producer Pi’erre Bourne has been on a wear and tear this year, producing hits for Playboi Carti (“Magnolia,” “wokeuplikethis*”) and delivering standouts on projects for the A$AP Mob (“Blowin’ Minds”), Nav (“Minute”), Trippie Redd (“Poles1649”), and Lil Uzi Vert (“X”) to name a few. Now the Queens-bred hitmaker is seeing a new notch under his producer belt, this one courtesy of Brooklyn rapper 6IX9INE.

This week, the burgeoning BK rapper made history as his rising streetsweeper “Gummo,” jumped 41 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart to No. 13. This is the young star’s biggest feat to date, which is sure to advance in the coming weeks. Already, he’s been spotted the studio with Swizz Beatz, Fetty Wap and more. In addition to “Gummo,” the rapper’s other bubbling banger “Kooda” is also rising on the chart, debuting at No. 61.

With “Gummo” peaking at No. 13, this is also now Pi’erre Bourne’s second top 20 entry on the Hot 100 this year. “Magnolia,” Playboi Carti’s smash summer hit, peaked at No. 8 on the same chart.

Earlier this week, the producer stirred attention with comments made on Instagram. “I really birthed a nigga career this year in my fuckin sleep. I gotta crazy gift,” he wrote. In response, 6IX9INE answered with “I spread nothing but love,” among other things.

All in all, both hitmakers are clearly bubbling this year and that alone sets up a sure-to-be exciting run in 2018.
