On December 1, Drake is set to release his latest collaborative effort. But this time, instead of linking musically with another artist or producer, the October's Very Own leader’s partner of choice is heritage brand Timberland.
Drake teamed up with Timberland to reimagine the apparel company’s iconic 6" boot silhouette. The OVO edition of the hip hop staple will hit a select list of retailers in two classic colorways: wheat and black on black. Featuring a combination of premium materials such as leather and shearling, and GORE-TEX technology, the waterproof boots also have several references to the OVO brand. The golden Owl logo is situated on the tongue of the work-boot-turned-fashion-must-have, as well as its tag.
Drakes other ventures outside of music include partnerships with Jordan Brand and the pro basketball team the Toronto Raptors. He also has his whiskey label, Virginia Black. It seems as if the Grammy Award-winner wasn’t playing around when he rapped “Turn my birthday into a lifestyle.”
