After taking to Instagram last week to show support for Meek Mill, condemn America's mass incarceration crisis, and denounce its discriminative criminal justice system, Colin Kaepernick has now shared, via Twitter, an update in his advocacy for the jailed rapper.

Kaepernick revealed that he had been in contact with Meek who was aware and "humbled" by the love shown from his fans and peers far and wide, but still sought action from his followers, writing:

"Spoke to Meek Mill & he wanted ppl to know regardless of his unjust situation, he's in good spirits & humbled by the support the people have shown him. We'll continue to fight against the harsh sentencing practices that have affected Meek & millions of other POC for generations."
