Christmas last year was especially memorable, thanks in part to Chance the Rapper and Jeremih surprising fans with their joint holiday-themed project days before the annual celebration.
With the 2016 nine-track collection Merry Christmas Lil' Mama being so appreciated by their respective fans, the pair has reportedly decided to re-record the songs, as well as mix in new material, to officially release the project as a full album.
"It's gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it's gonna be a completion of that project," producer Bongo ByTheWay revealed during a conversation with Rap-Up.
He also added that the still-to-be-named album is currently being worked on, explaining that they expect it to come together "super fast."
"We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff," Bongo ByTheWay explained. "Now, we're really finishing it up and we're gonna put it out right. It's gonna have new music. It's gonna be mixed and mastered and everything."
In other Chance-related news, the 24-year-old rapper is also gearing up to host this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live, with Eminem slated to appear as the show's musical guest.
