Report: Lana Del Rey allegedly sang about Harvey Weinstein in 2012

A site claims the exec made her change the lyrics after she "rebuffed" his advances.

Earlier this month, the New York Times reported that film producer and studio executive Harvey Weinstein had been paying off his sexual harassment accusers for decades. Since then, a total of 40 women have come forward, including actresses, models, reporters, and former employees. However, according to Page Six, singer Lana Del Rey may have also encountered his advances.

The site reports that Del Rey sang about the disgraced exec as far back as 2012, on her Paradise cut "Cola."

Page Six says the track's original lyrics—which can be heard and read below—included Weinstein's name, but that once she "rebuffed" the movie mogul, he "went bananas and insisted Del Rey change [them]." The site also notes that the lyrics were intended to "ironic," as she wasn't interested in "Weinstein at all."

The original lyrics read:

"I gots a taste for men who are older / It's always been, so it's no surprise / Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy / All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby / Come on baby, let's ride / We can escape to the great sunshine / I know your wife and she wouldn't mind / We made it out to the other side."

However, the lyric was later changed to: "Ah he's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy."

Since the allegations surfaced, the Obamas have released a statement as Weinstein was a major Democratic donor. JAY-Z, who signed a two-year deal with the Weinstein Co. to produce scripted and unscripted television and film projects, has not commented yet.
