Spotlight on REVOLT: Amber Melody, "Call The Shots"

"If Keith Sweat, Damien Marley, and Gwen Stefani had a love baby."

Born in London, Amber Melody has been singing and writing music since she was 6 years old. She dropped out of school at a young age and moved to Los Angeles, surfing from couch to couch while developing her sound. Amber is currently producing a new EP with her co-producer Lil "Dom" Puente and they say it will sound like Gwen Stefani, Keith Sweat, Damian Marley's love baby. In 2015, Amber and Lil "Dom" Puente" released their debut EP Sicc Little Girls, featuring the single "Smile Hoe." Currently refining her sound for her next project, Amber Melody has the talent and attitude to take the music industry by storm.

Get to know Amber Melody in her own words:

My sound in five words or less: Life lessons, lighthearted honesty, heartfelt pimpness, & me; Or you can say... "Music you need to hear"

Best part of making this video: It was just nice to finally get a video together for my song, going back to the UK and seeing fam is always a plus. I'm awkward on camera but we had a lot of fun roaming round London shooting. Most of what you see is what we ran into, like the party scene at the end.. We just crashed.

What inspires your art: I get inspired by the weirdest stuff. I normally write music when I'm going through a tough time. I like to go to museums and look at art. That inspires me.

Explain the concept of the song in one sentence: Don't play with a real one.

Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat? I like 'em all, prolly Instagram. @ambamelody on Instagram and snapchat.

What goes down in my DM's: Nothing. My DM's are lonely. Send nudes.

My favorite emoji: this boy explains my lyfe.
