It's 2017 and J. Cole is gold with no features

It's the only album, released in the fourth quarter, to earn a certification.

It's 2017 and J. Cole went gold with no features.

Cole adds yet another plaque on the wall, as his latest album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has officially been awarded the gold certification by the RIAA after moving 500,000 units. The album, which arrived in December, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 492,000 copies sold in its first week. Since its debut, the LP has been glued in the album chart's top five tally and it currently sits at No. 4.

The album's official single "Deja Vu" peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100 chart.

According to the RIAA, the LP is the only 2016 fourth quarter hip-hop album to earn a certification.
