Lady Gaga is plotting her return to music with "Perfect Illusion"

Are you hyped or has she already faded from your memory?

It's been nearly three years since we've seen an official single from Lady Gaga as a solo artist -- that means without Tony Bennett by her side and, no, not a soundtrack contribution either. And even so, "G.U.Y," her last offering, wasn't exactly her best-seller.

But now entering into the era of her fourth album, Lady Gaga has begun teasing her latest single, "Perfect Illusion."

Last month, she shared with her social media followers a photo of herself in the studio with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker and producers Mark Ronson and Bloodpop. She captioned it: "We made a #PERFECTILLUSION."

And yesterday (September 6), she revealed two rockstar-esque images: this first of herself swinging a microphone around the heads and outstretched hands of fans.

And the second, the single's official artwork, a photo of herself jumping into the sunset-lit skies of a desert.

Today, she's finally hinted at the song's lyrics:

"I don't need eyes to see / I felt you touchin' me / high like amphetamine / maybe you're just a dream."

And in just two days, the sounds will arrive. Are you hyped or has she already faded from your memory?

Update: We've got a guitar riff and the short shriek of a synth!
