MJB and Maxwell are hitting the road for the King and Queen of Hearts tour

Your whole family has made love, made up, and broke up to their hits.

Listen, Mary, we feel you: Throwing yourself into work is one way we deal with a breakup, too. In a move they said has been years in the making, Mary J. Blige and Maxwell are teaming up for what will be called the King and Queen of Hearts Tour. The two of them have 20-plus years of hits to comb through, which means they could perform for hours a piece and still not hit all your favorites. More than a show, it will be an outing of two influential artists who have been holding down soul and R&B music for years.

A Mary J. Blige & Kanye West Collabo Is Coming

As Maxwell told Okayplayer, "This is truly a friendship and a mutual respect for what we’ve both done creatively. I have to always acquiesce to Mary because I was trying to get a deal when Mary was on Billboard and on every radio station. I say this humbly and with great respect, ‘In chess, the Queen always has the moves,’ and Mary, indeed, does [have the moves] and I’m following her lead."

For those who think Maxwell is the suave lothario who is too cool for school, seeing him in concert will change your entire mind. He is totally at home onstage, which REVOLT saw firsthand at this year's ESSENCE Fest. And well, with the recent #MaryJBligeChallenge that hit social media, we know how Mary gets down.

The tour kicks off November 5, and Ro James is the opening act.
