Ryan Lochte, arguably the most popular Team USA swimmer after Michael Phelps, lied about being assaulted in Rio during the 2016 Olympics. In an elaborate story, Lochte said he and three teammates were robbed at gunpoint when their taxi was pulled over by thieves impersonating police officers.
