Kim Kardashian plays the Big Joker, clears the table on Taylor Swift in 4 steps

Kim was holding the cards the whole time.

In one day, Kim Kardashian West gave a master class in Publicity 101. Not only did she successfully expose Taylor Swift for lying about being aware of Kanye West's lyrics in his Life of Pablo song "Famous," but Kim managed to make herself even more, um, famous.

Kim was holding the cards all along, but she waited until Sunday (July 18) to play the Big Joker. It didn't go unnoticed that she finally broke the internet with her clothes on. (Insert laugh-cry emojis) You may have already strolled through the #KimExposedTaylorParty, but let's break down the steps to Kim's expert dragging.

In June, Kim trumped up interest via her GQ cover story. She told the magazine:

"She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much sh*t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved. What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval?"

Taylor's team put out a very shady rebuttal, in which they implied Kim wasn't thinking for herself, but rather repeating what she'd been told by her husband. So Kim kept schemin'.

Kim K. left a trail of breadcrumbs on Sunday before she blew Taylor's spot to smithereens. Peep these coded tweets, which don't explicitly name anyone, but certainly rouse attention:

How long do you think Kim had the recording of the phone call of her husband and Swift discussing the song? She mentioned it in her GQ interview — as well as how Taylor's team asked them to destroy it — but it didn't serve her to release it then. Why give it to another outlet when you have your own show?

On Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim plays the feud all the way up. She says she's fed up with Taylor playing the victim and continuing to punish Kanye for his infamous VMA outburst. Kim goes so far as to say that Taylor told 'Ye she would cop to being in on it at the Grammys. We know that instead, Taylor took a shot at Yeezy in her speech, warning fans about people who try to take credit for your success.

Kanye West Says "Famous" Was Taylor Swift's Idea

"I mean at this point, I'm just over it," Kim says on KUWTK. "At this point, I know the truth. I know everyone around me knows the truth. We all do." Kim's entire family admits to having seen the video, and they congratulate Kim for standing up for Kanye.

"At this point, I really don't give a f*ck. So, I'll do whatever to protect my husband," Kim says. Great spin, girl! Yes, we're sure you are leaking the video in your husband's honor.

After her show, Kim made sure it was a wrap for Taylor. She took the slayage over to Snapchat, leaking the audio of the phone call. Receipts below:

Caught out here butt naked, all Taylor could do was go to Instagram and try to defend herself on technicalities. She took issue with the "that b*tch" lyric, specifically, and maintains that Kanye said he would play "Famous" for her, but never did.

So there you have it. In four easy steps, Kim K. one-upped America's sweetheart, a woman whose career is full of thinly veiled songs about exes that they probably didn't approve. Doesn't feel so good on the other end, huh, Taylor?
