According to Foxy Brown, there was "overwhelming outcry" at the fact that she and Lauryn Hill were not a part of VH1's_ Hip Hop Honors_ ceremony on Monday. She took the time to explain to their fans today (July 13) why she was #unbothered by being overlooked.
Her argument isn't entirely cohesive, but she basically says the Hip Hop Honors were beneath her anyway, writing, "Personally, I'd Prefer Being Held To A Much Higher Standard In My Walk." But, she felt it necessary to speak up because the "fans went ballistic." She went on to say that she and Lauryn had a kee kee, and L Boogie is about to go on tour overseas, while Fox herself is working on an "incredible return
While we certainly can agree that Foxy Brown, and of course, Lauryn Hill were more than deserving of being honored, Foxy's rant was kinda like when Jada Pinkett-Smith announced she was going to "boycott" the Oscars — a party she wasn't invited to anyway. Peep her comments below:
