Drake has done his share of comedy skits, including hosting and performing during a number of Saturday Night Live episodes, among a long list of others. His latest, though, might be the most awkwardly funny of them all. The Canadian-born rapper was grilled by a character named Jiminy Glick, played by actor Martin Short during a parody on his new Lorne Michaels-produced sketch comedy show, Maya and Marty, hosted alongside actor/comedian Maya Rudolph.
In the segment, Jiminy Glick, an overweight journalist wearing big, thick square-shaped glasses and speaking in a breathy tone, asks Drake—who currently has the number one song in the country, "One Dance"—questions about his weight, his popularity and even his, uh, penis.
"Do you miss the hood? And, when I say hood, I mean your foreskin. Do you miss it," Glick asks, highlighting Drake’s Jewish side. "Um, I'm glad to be sort of clean cut," Drake replies in a confused manner. "Clean cut in the down there hair world?"
Glick continues, to which Drake uncomfortably responds: "Yeah. Yeah. I guess."
The entire "interview" is a completely inept Q&A, including Glick asking Drake queries like, Why do you think that only fat kids love to play the tuba?, Glick telling Drake he likes to wash his face like a cat seconds before he rubs his own saliva all over his face with his two hands, and asking Drake to eat a donut after accusing him of being out of shape.
The interview ends with possibly the most absurd request of them all when Glick proposes he and Drake engage in a "ritualistic steam bath."
"When an interview is supposed to go well, which this was, I invite my guests to have a ritualistic steam bath with me—a reflection of life," Glick states matter-of-factly. "And I would wonder if you would like to join me?"
Drake unnervingly declines, and Glick chalks it up to none-other-than penis envy. "I'm packin'!" he says with a chuckle in reference to his own size.
