No one can deny the impact that Chance the Rapper has had on music, from an independent level all the way to mainstream. The powerful influence especially reached its climax when, earlier this month, the Recording Academy announced that streaming-only releases would be eligible for Grammy Award consideration, after a strong push and petition from Chano himself.

But will Chance's influence continue to be recognized or will it be underrated?

After having appeared on his Coloring Book cut "Mixtape" and alongside him in the video for "No Problem," there was no one to better ask than fellow rapper Young Thug. And during a pre-BET Awards interview, Young Thug revealed just how impactful he believes his friend to be, telling HipHollywood, "I think they're going to always sleep on him. He's going to die like Prince. He's going to die a slept-on legend."

So, for the few that aren't already woke to Chance's charm, get familiar.
