ScHoolboy Q's album rollout for his upcoming sophomore effort Blank Face has been one of the most entertaining and engaging ones we've seen in awhile, from the trolling album cover teases to the truly cinematic trailers. And while we were excited to see Miguel's name pop up on its tracklist, the rapper himself revealed that he wasn't initially down with the collaboration.
According to attendees at his listening party in New York last night (June 29), ScHoolboy Q dropped some truthbombs about the LP, namely the Miguel and Justine Skye-assisted track "Overtime."
Comparing the song to a former hit of his, SBQ reportedly said, "It's a bootleg ass 'Studio' song. They made me put it on the album." He also allegedly called it the result of "label shit."

However, SBQ confessed that he eventually got on-board, realizing the label knew best. He reportedly said, "Sometimes the label really know what they talkin' bout" and "I said the same sh*t about 'Studio' so maybe there's something I don't know."
Considering "Studio" is his highest-charting song to date, we can't wait to hear the new joint.
