Last Saturday (June 25) marked the official 20-year anniversary of Jay Z’s seminal debut Reasonable Doubt, but as the line goes on "Politics as Usual," there's "no stopping the champagne from popping."

So as the celebration continues through the rest of the year, REVOLT sat with Kareem "Biggs" Burke, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, to discuss the album that launched the empire and spawned the musical lineage that continues to impact the music scene today. Throughout the chat, Biggs reveals a couple of gems, like how DJ Premier initially charged the team $8,000 for a series of beats and the fact that The Notorious B.I.G. was "the most important" part of the album.
