Former rap music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight is suing Chris Brown and owners at 1Oak nightclub for an incident at a party in August 2014 that left him shot seven times.

According to the Associated Press, the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Brown and 1Oak owners failed to provide sufficient security and allowed for an armed attendee to enter the vicinity. Knight suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and left forearm in the incident. He is suing them for past and present medical costs accrued from the injuries sustained.

Brown was not arrested or implicated for the 2014 shooting.

Meanwhile, Knight is currently behind bars awaiting to be tried for attempted murder and murder charges stemming from a January 2015 incident in which he ran over two men outside of a burger joint in Compton, California, killing one. He faces a life sentence if he’s convicted.
