DJ Khaled has the keys.
As he continues to work on what he’s been referring to as the “best music of my life,” the ever-busy mogul took some time to max out on the couch of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and deliver a slew of keys — a key chain if you will.
For starters, Khaled, who is prepping the release of his Epic Records debut Major Key, unveiled the long-awaited cover art for the project, which was shot by famed photographer Jonathan Mannion. From there, the conversation between Khaled and Kimmel soon ventured into clinging keys territory as the "For Free" ringleader discussed fatherhood and upcoming plans for the birth of his son. After taking a moment to deliver a touching "I love you" to his unborn prince, along with an "I got us" note, Khaled unveiled plans for Snapchatting the approaching birth experience.
"I want to Snapchat the whole birth," he told Kimmel, who questioned whether Khaled’s fiancé supported that plan. In response to the latter, Khaled said, "The key is I’m the king and every queen should support the king." In explaining the Snapchat plans, Khaled said it’s pretty much a written rule. "I got to, he’s an icon. He’s a young icon coming out." Elsewhere in the topic of fatherhood, Khaled mentioned that tunes by Buju Banton, Bob Marley, Jay Z and Biggie Smalls are already part of his fiancé’s pregnant belly’s soundtrack, while the baby room has been decorated with posters of Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Jay Z, The Notorious B.I.G. and President Obama.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Khaled also broke down the meaning of "Cloth Talk," which he describes as the “holy grail” form of “real talk.” This cloth talk is also what he happened to share with President Obama back in April.
