Meraki, "HurtALittle" Feat. Von Alexander

Neo-soul singer Meraki is a new one for REVOLT's ears; it's the first time we've heard of her. However, her single "HurtALittle" doesn't sound new, in the sense that it brings a nostalgic Erykah Badu-esque sound to the table. Her voice is both soothing and demanding, providing a nice equilibrium. And we can't forget Von Alexander, who drops solid verses to further elevate the Milwaukee tag-team's single. Looks like the Midwest is coming up! — Erin Ashley Simon

Princess Nokia, "Tomboy"

This is for certain...the best track of life right now. If you remember when Princess Nokia went by the moniker Wavy Spice (#RIPWavySpice), then you're familiar with her Spanish Harlem a la Lower East Side spit-game. Back in '13, I hosted the previously-named artist at a Red Bull Sound Select show and "lit" wasn't even a thing yet. But, that's precisely what the night was. And now? Let the lyrics to "Tomboy" tell you...

"Who that? / Who that? / Who that? / Princess Nokia, make it clap / She with it to set it back / And give ya the fire track / Now watch what gon' happen next."Hannah Rad

LEISURE, "Nobody" Feat. GoldLink

I'll admit, it was GoldLink's name that made me click on this song, but a quick Google search revealed that LEISURE is a five-piece New Zealand-based band. I don't know the story behind how this collaboration with the rapper from D.C. came about, but I'm so glad it did. "Nobody" is smooth and sweet, romantic and wrapped in warm synths, but somehow manages to never turn corny. I credit GoldLink's verse. —Danielle Cheesman
