Prince's Autopsy Reveals Percocet Found In His System

The rumors are true.

Minnesota news station KSTP has confirmed some of the findings in Prince’s autopsy and, according to law enforcement sources, traces of the painkiller Percocet have been found in the singer’s system.

Though the exact amount of the prescription drug discovered has not been revealed yet, the pain reliever contains a combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen. Additionally, Prince was found to have had an alarmingly low red blood cell count, which can sometimes indicate an illness.

The official cause of death will be revealed in the coming weeks as part of a toxicology report but, until then, federal officials are investigating whether a doctor prescribed Prince the drug, where he was receiving them, and what type he was taking.
